This course is designed for individuals seeking to work in the construction industry in Canada and be recognized as skilled professionals. The program prepares participants for the Red Seal exam, a national standard in Canada that certifies workers' skills and qualifications across all provinces and territories.
A Construction Craftworker works on a wide range of structures, including residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings, as well as large-scale projects such as dams, roads, bridges, tunnels, mines, and pipelines. This role involves responsibilities such as site preparation, material management, equipment operation, and ensuring construction safety.
In this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the Red Seal exam. Through educational modules, case studies, and hands-on practice, participants will develop expertise in various areas of the construction industry, from safety and blueprint reading to working with concrete and scaffolds.
Participants can bypass the standard 2,880-hour apprenticeship requirement by submitting their work experience for evaluation through Skilled Trades Ontario’s Trade Equivalency Assessment and directly take the Red Seal exam.
You are active in the construction industry, a contractor, an entrepreneur, or someone interested in entering this field with confidence and expertise.
