Dear Applicants, Members, Friends and Family of Engineers Nova Scotia,
After a very successful pandemic response by Nova Scotians, we have enjoyed the fruit of our labours here in the Atlantic Bubble. However, despite our best intentions we have seen an uptick in COVID19 community infection rates over the past few weeks. As with our initial “flatten the curve” strategies, the official public safety response to deal with the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has again increased, and many organizations are returning to proactive measures to reduce inadvertent exposure to the virus.
As Engineers Nova Scotia is committed to the health and wellbeing of its staff, its internal and external stakeholders, and members of the public whom we serve, we will be returning to our posture of March 2020.
The Engineers Nova Scotia Office will again remain closed to all visitors (members, volunteers and the public).
Though closed to visitors, the Engineers Nova Scotia Office will be open for employees, under strict conditions if access is absolutely necessary; employees who can execute their duties from home will be strongly encouraged to telecommute. We will do our best to ensure that our members and volunteers continue to receive professional, timely service during this closure.
Walk-in appointments will not be possible during this period; any critical business with member or applicants will be done through email. For members, many activities such as reporting CPD or dues payment can be completed through our Member and Company area at https://engineersnovascotia.ca/member-area/
For our volunteers, all critical regulatory meetings will continue to be conducted virtually through teleconference or videoconference. The staff responsible to coordinate any of our committee meetings will provide updates via email.

Engineers Nova Scotia Celebrates its Centennial Anniversary!
In this unprecedented time, it has been easy to forget that Engineers Nova Scotia is celebrating its 100th year as the regulator of Engineering in the province. Over the last century, Professional Engineers have been a major force in Nova Scotia’s growth and development. As we reflect on our past, our present and our future, we are always mindful of our regulatory commitments to our members and to the public. We wish to thank everyone who has contributed to our profession and the Association over the past 100 years and encourage all engineers to become involved and help us maintain our excellence in self-regulation. Without you, there is no us. #Engineering_ThinkAboutIt
